Tamil Language Workshop Recap

Last month, Thamizhi hosted a Tamil Language Workshop that brought together enthusiastic learners of all backgrounds. The workshop was designed for both beginners taking their first steps with Tamil script, and intermediate learners looking to deepen their reading and writing skills.

What Participants Learned

Tamil Script Basics

Participants were introduced to the unique beauty of the Tamil alphabet — 12 vowels, 18 consonants, and 216 combined characters. Our experienced instructors made the learning process approachable and enjoyable.

Pronunciation Practice

Getting the sounds right is crucial to speaking Tamil naturally. The session included guided pronunciation exercises, helping learners develop confidence in speaking.

Everyday Vocabulary

From greetings to household items, participants built a practical vocabulary they could immediately use in conversations with family and friends.

Feedback from Participants

Learners shared that they appreciated the small group setting, which allowed for personalised attention. Many expressed interest in joining our ongoing Tamil classes.
