We are thrilled to welcome you to Thamizhi — a community organization born from a deep love for Tamil language, literature, and cultural heritage.

Founded in 2019, Thamizhi brings together Sri Lankan Tamils who share a common vision: to preserve the richness of Tamil civilization and pass it on to future generations.

Our Story

Thamizhi began as a small gathering of community members who felt a calling — to ensure that the next generation stays connected to their roots. What started as informal meetups has grown into a vibrant organization with over 4,400 followers on Facebook.

What We Do

• Cultural Events — We celebrate Tamil festivals, host cultural performances, and organize community gatherings throughout the year.
• Language Programs — Our Tamil language classes serve learners of all ages and proficiency levels.
• Publications — We curate and produce Tamil literary resources, educational materials, and digital content.
• Youth Initiatives — We invest in the next generation through leadership programs and cultural engagement opportunities.
